Q. What's the difference between Next G and 3G? A. A. Next G is Telstra's own third generation or 3G network operating on a different bandwidth to existing 3G services. For more information on next G services and benefits visit the "What's New" section of our website. | Q. What's happening to the CDMA network? A. A. Telstra will be phasing out the CDMA mobile service, but not before 2008. On October 06 2006, Telstra launched the Next G third generation mobile network on the 850 mHz range which offers many new benefits such as the ability to use exciting video services and download and view content services faster than on the CDMA mobile network. See the "What's New" section of our website for more information on Next G services. | Q. I don't want a plan - can I just buy the phone outright? A. Yes. Rather than pay the phone off interest free over a period of time, you can elect to purchase the phone outright for the prices on our website. Eg, a phone advertised at $0 upfront and $28.30 per month for 24 months can be purchased outright for $679. For more information, call Fone Zone on 1300 366 387 during business hours. |
